Welcome Back!
Welcome, members, to Duluth High School's 2010-2011 National Honor Society! We hope that you guys had an awesome summer and hope that everyone is ready to start a new and exciting year. We have many great projects and events planned for you guys. Check in on this website for your hours ("Member's" section), which will be updated monthly, as well as for upcoming announcements and events. Don't slack off. Remember that you must earn a total of 25 hours per semester to remain in the club. Seniors, especially, should maintain their hours if they wish to receive a chord for graduation. As you guys go forth helping the community, don't forget the four basic principles of NHS: character, scholarship, leadership, and service. :)

This is a VERY important meeting. We will have a lot of new projects for you to sign up for.
ALSO this is the meeting in which are NEW MEMBERS will be inducted!!! woooo!!! :) There will be food and cake. You may receive 1/2 an hr for any food item you bring in. Just put your name on your item and turn it into Ms. K's room in the 100 building.
**REMEMBER SENIORS: In order to receive a stole for graduation, you must complete your hours by the END OF THIS MONTH!! No exceptions! So sign up for those projects!!
March Event: MARCH MYSTERY BOX
This is a new project for this month. During the lunches on St. Patrick's Day, we will sell "mystery boxes" for 75 cents. In the boxes is one Hershey Kiss, a fortune, and, if they're lucky, a four leaf clover. If a person buys a box with a four leaf clover, they will win a prize.
This was pretty popular last year, so we decided to give the event another try this year. This will require people to make advertisements, to assemble, and to sell the boxes. You will receive hours for helping out with this event.
